The ACT Golf Association was established in December 2014. It aims to promote golf, and the social aspects of golf, in the international community of NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, and to develop friendly relations with the local military and civilian golfing communities in the Hampton Roads area.
We welcome any military, civilian or retired member, and/or their immediate family, of Allied Command Transformation or other NATO entities who wish to join as a member.
At the Annual General Members’ meeting on 15 September, the proposal by the Board of Directors that Active Members and Associate Members who depart the Hampton Roads area upon completion of a tour of duty may continue their membership as Long Distance Members was formally approved. This will enable them to stay informed about the AGA and our activities, and to participate in our events whenever they visit the area.
If you wish to learn more about membership criteria, structure, and related information, please consult the AGA Bylaws – 15 September 2017.
The ACT Golf Association is a member of the Virginia State Golf Association and considers the Sewells Point Golf Course in Norfolk, Virginia as its “Home Club”.
In order to encourage and help newcomers to golf with getting started, we have established a Novice and Refresher Program in cooperation with PGA Professional Tom Dozier. You do not have to be a member of the ACT Golf Association in order to participate in this program. Please find more information in the menu under Novice Program.
We hope to see you as a member of the ACT Golf Association!
President of the AGA
